Dr. Zsuzsanna Hollander is presently the Chief Data Officer for the PROOF Centre of Excellence. In her current position, she is responsible for the overall data management within the PROOF Centre. This includes the development of procedures for data governance, monitoring, analysis, mining, and lifecycle management. She is also managing the Genome Canada-funded COPD program and data-driven projects and service contracts. In her previous role of Data and Informatics Manager at the PROOF Centre and Data Mining Analyst for the Biomarkers in Transplantation project Zsuzsa analyzed genomic, proteomic, metabolomic and clinical data sets as well as provided querying expertise in mining the data from the projects complex database.
Zsuzsa obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economic Informatics at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies in Romania and pursued a BSc followed by a MSc degree in Computer Science at the University of British Columbia. In 2013 she obtained her PhD in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of British Columbia. As of 2010, she is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
